Alejandro Sanz
The musician, composer and singer Alejandro Sanz began his artistic career in 1991, with the recording of Viviendo deprisa. This album, which went platinum seven times and sold over a million copies, marked the rise of one of the most prestigious and remarkable stars on the current Spanish pop music scene.
By 2001, the American press took interest in the talent of this "Spanish superstar." Alejandro recorded his MTV Unplugged this year, and the New York Daily News declared that "the smooth rhythms and deep passion of Alejandro Sanz's Unplugged may help to explain to the American public why he has become the most important pop star from Spain."
Awards and success continued to follow, up to Sanz's most recent release No es lo mismo. Sanz's sixth studio recording, it is an expression of the Madrid-based musician's current creative state and reflects his continued growth as one of contemporary music's greatest and most interesting songwriters.
